How We Look From the Moon

You could say we are
invisible specks of dust
orbiting in the air
only the right streak of light
reveals our iridescent glare

Perhaps we are
asteroids
fiery particles of dust
surging through space
knocking other planets around
leaving them displaced

Maybe we are
the moon
seemingly conquered
with a flag staked in the ground
but suspended 238,000 miles above earth
how can you tame a glow
when it illuminates all it’s around?
